Islam apologists will say The Bible and quran are both just as violent as the other. But are they? Let's analyze and find out! By Arch Kennedy

Bible vs. Quran

April 20, 2016 By Arch Kennedy

Without question, the answer is most definitely the quran. Time and time again, you will see islam apologists say both are equally violent in hopes of supporting multiculturalism and inclusion. But, the facts speak for themselves. Let’s analyze, shall we?

First of all, there is no violence to speak of in the New Testament, which is what Christians go by. Yes, in the Old Testament there is violence but you have to look at the type of violence we are talking about. I’ll get to that in a second. There are some 34,000 words devoted to violence in the Old Testament as opposed to 328,000 words in the quran, sira, and hadith. You must look at all three sources in islam. You cannot just go by the quran alone.

There are two big points that I want to make about this “violence” in both religions.

  1. The violence in the Bible is mostly historical and tribal as well as local in nature. The violence in the quran, sira, and hadith is “prescriptive”. This is a huge point!
  2. The violence that you see in the Bible is in the Old Testament. But then came the New Testament, where Jesus preached nothing but love and tolerance and “turning the other cheek”. So the Bible ENDS with love and tolerance, where it “supersedes” the teachings in the Old Testament. In the quran, however, any peaceful passages are “superseded” by the more violent verses at the end. The doctrine of the quran ENDS with instructions for subjugation or violence to the non-believers. That is the most important concept to grasp, and this is why we continue to see muslims around the world engaging in jihad up till this day. They are following the doctrine to a T!

Classical islamic scholars teach “abrogation”, since the quran is not in chronological order. So basically, all of the violent verses are later verses that take the place of the more peaceful ones early in the quran. In the beginning when mohammed was in Mecca, he was peaceful but only gained 150 followers. When he left and went to Medina, his power grew as he became violent and began his conquests. This is the part of the quran, sira, and hadith that are to be followed…the later verses. It was made quite evident that islam was to become the law of the land by any means necessary.

  • “And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]…and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah.”
    (Quran 2:191)
  • Kill, convert or subjugate Christians and Jews.
    (Quran 9:29)
  • “And Allah has made you heirs to their land
and their dwellings and their property”

    (Quran 33:27)

Those are just a couple of verses on spreading islam through violence. There are many more and also plenty of “prescriptive” verses on treatment of women such as:

  • The quran explicitly instructs
    men to beat disobedient wives.
    (Quran 4:34, Sahih Muslim 2127)
  • Explicitly allows Muslim men to rape their female slaves, even those already married.
    (Quran 4:24, 70:29-30, 23:5-6…)

Again, there many more verses exist on the treatment of women as “half a human being” and, we, of course, see this to this day in Middle East countries around the world, along with the violence to non-believers and apostates. So it is quite obvious just by turning on the morning news. Are you ever shocked to see an islamic terrorist bombing? But, you would be surprised to see 38 people beheaded by a group of Methodists shouting “Jesus is Great”, wouldn’t you?

The “Difference” is easily shown; JESUS; A mystical healer, who Never killed anyone, raped no one, captured people to be used as sex slaves, never ordered violent attacks on others … in fact, Jesus urged HIS followers to be kind, to heal, to forgive, etc .. and who’s miracles had mass witnesses!!
MUHAMMAD: An Arab merchant turned warlord and self proclaimed ‘prophet’ of “Allah” who DID kill others, DID rape women, DID sell children into sexual slavery, DID take 20% of the proceeds of selling innocent victims into sexual slavery, and DID order his followers to do the same untill the entire world is conquered in the name of the false god, Allah and there are only arabs left alive. such a holy man. Now all of that would be a difference in ideology, but, the Koran also demands everyone believe the world is flat and the tiny sun orbits the earth to set in a pool of water here on earth … or, else, Islamic Religious Police will kill you . That’s the difference I see.

Except for all the passages in the Bible condoning rape, and murder, and racism and slavery, but you don’t like to include those parts.

First off, may you be saved on the day of recompense. Allah (swt) also says in the Quran, that any muslim who harms a non-believer will have two times a greater punishment than if he had harmed another muslim. Do you forget about the bible verses? For example ….This is what the Lord Almighty says… ‘Now go and strike Amalek and devote to destruction all that they have. Do not spare them, but kill both man and woman, child and infant, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’” (1 Samuel 15:3) you dont like posting bible verses do you? May Allah forgive you for your ignorance

Surely you know about abrogation and later verses that call for the murder of unbelievers. And also that Muhammad murdered thousands the last nine years of his life?

He did it because he had to and because he was being killed by the disbelievers and had no choice. I am only 11 but unlike you people I believe in the truth and even if I did not I would keep my opinions to myself. But I do applaud you for being so strong in your cause but I also pity you for all that you are doing and there is no benefit. May Allah guide you. Our religion is the same and there is not much differences. We believe in the same prophets and we believe in Jesus but only as a prophet of God. So I hope you realise that those actions were only taken for self defence.

Your statement is false. The Battle of Badr for example was an OFFENSIVE war by Muhammad. I urge you to read Nabeel Qureshi’s book, “Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus”. It has a lot of great information.

Welcome

Arch Kennedy

It is a different day. Frustration is abound in politics. No one seems to compromise. Polarizing political figures give fodder for all of the media sources that now contain bias for one candidate or another. Journalism truly is dead.

So where do everyday Americans find truth in today’s world of social media and the internet where everyone has a voice and an opinion?

Well, we can change the forecast for our country (excuse the pun) by continuing to search for truth and have honest discussions even if they are uncomfortable.

Yes, I am a Christian, conservative, who happens to be gay, and I don’t need a person or media source telling me how to be any of the three. The days of identity politics are over and I am here to expose it.
