I was reading an article today where U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents are being told to release illegal immigrants and no longer order them to appear at deportation hearings. I thought to myself. Why bother with borders altogether? I mean, if this is the Obama administration’s policy, then why spend the money on security in the first place?
To add insult to injury, agents are also being told to not to track illegals whereabouts either! Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council was quoted saying “We might as well abolish our immigration laws altogether”. And I agree with him.
Oh, but wait! There’s more! Undocumented immigrants are no longer given a “notice to appear” order for court appearances. Why you ask? Because they ignore them.
The only reason I can come up with for Obama’s pure disregard for laws is that he is trying to gain voters for the Democrat Party. And the Republicans are not raising a stink because they don’t want to be labeled Latino haters. But what is the problem with wanting immigrants here “legally”? How is that hating on Latinos? We have to have some kind of control on the immigration process. The Obama administration is requiring the DHS and CBP to just bypass Congress on this issue, and that is a big problem in my opinion.
We are a nation of laws and when they aren’t being followed, it gives rise to more laws not being followed which eventually leads to anarchy. So in other words, if I don’t follow immigration laws why would I obey the speed limit or pay my taxes?
Trump’s philosophy makes sense to me and the Democrats can talk all day on what is wrong with his policy. But let me ask you. What is wrong with building a wall and having immigrants come in legally? You come into this country illegally, you leave and come back in the right way. This may sound too simple but it isn’t really. You just have to have politicians with the “cahones” to actually take a stand and get it done. And so far, the only one I can see has been Trump. I am not here endorsing the Donald as my candidate of choice, but at least he is raising important discussions that need to be addressed.
