Maybe not all millennials believe in the fairy tale perfect socialist society that Bernie Sanders promised! Check this kid out! By Arch Kennedy

I come across many different forms of thought in my political activism, but I have to say this youngster really caught my eye today. We often speak of the millennials being the “entitlement generation” and laugh at their enormous support of Bernie Sanders. This is the same Bernie Sanders who has given his unwavering support now to Hillary Clinton and that is leaving them flabbergasted.

But wait a minute! Not so fast! Maybe not all millennials believe in the fairy tale perfect socialist society as I found out today from The Rational Millennial.

Dear Angry Bernie Supporters,

Are you actually that surprised that the die-hard supposedly “anti-establishment” socialist is endorsing the most corrupt crony capitalist criminal to ever run for the U.S. presidency? Because I’m not.

I’ve come to the conclusion that Bernie Sanders supporters don’t believe in the revolution. They just want to be a part of a revolution. They desperately want to be seen as the good guys in a big bad capitalist USA. Whole heartedly, they believe that it’s capitalism they denounce when in reality, it’s corporatism.

Now, before you redirect your anger at Bernie and Hillary to me, let me make this clear: I’m not trying to offend you. I’m trying to appeal to you. I understand your anger, and I understand the philosophy behind the ideals you defend. Bernie Sanders’ platform sounded great. Egalitarian and wonderful. A perfect society. The idea behind it is a utopia. The problem is: it doesn’t exist.

Socialism inevitably leads to corruption because the perfect ideal of socialism operates under the delusion that every single politician, Hillary Clinton included, is working for the greater good. It assumes that everything Adam Smith said about incentives and self-interest is not true. Yet, every single time a socialist program or policy is implemented, it turns out to be true after all. Government employees and politicians are not immune to self-interest. That’s why cronyism exists. (That’s also how and why the Clintons aren’t both in prison for…uh, well, it’s a long list…let’s see…their lucrative foreign financiers, Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate, Chinagate, and everything else the de facto Hillary supporters are too blinded by the politically incorrectness of Donald Trump to do any research on.)

The Tea Party opposed Wall Street and its government bailouts years before it was even on young socialists’ radars. Bernie supporters opposed Wall Street in hopes of government putting more regulation on it. They weren’t aware that Libertarians protested it—before it was cool—in hopes of the government lifting restrictions and eliminating government bailouts. Why? Because separating government and business makes room for the free market, a place where people are held directly and monetarily accountable for their actions. Wall Street business tycoons and investment firms only become Monsters when the government allows them to. Wall Street Monsters only exist in a political environment, like ours, that allows big business to strike deals with big government.

While Libertarians and true conservatives knew that the only way to eradicate corporatism was through the free market, Bernie’s anti-Wall Street platform implied that the way to fix the problems that the government had created was through making government bigger. But as Carly Fiorina said, “Socialism starts when government creates a problem and then government steps in to solve the problem.” We cannot allow this cycle of government dependence to continue.

I’m not trying to get you to fall in love with Donald Trump…because even I’m not a big fan. Instead, I’m plainly trying to expose the evils of big government and the logic behind liberty. Socialism and corporatism are one and the same. Those Wall Street Monsters that Bernie Sanders claims to be so afraid of…well, he’s endorsing the scariest one of them all.

So tell me, what does that tell you about socialism?

Sincerely,

The Rational Millennial

Welcome

Arch Kennedy

It is a different day. Frustration is abound in politics. No one seems to compromise. Polarizing political figures give fodder for all of the media sources that now contain bias for one candidate or another. Journalism truly is dead.

So where do everyday Americans find truth in today’s world of social media and the internet where everyone has a voice and an opinion?

Well, we can change the forecast for our country (excuse the pun) by continuing to search for truth and have honest discussions even if they are uncomfortable.

Yes, I am a Christian, conservative, who happens to be gay, and I don’t need a person or media source telling me how to be any of the three. The days of identity politics are over and I am here to expose it.
