Boulder Terror: Why Borders Matter

June 2, 2025 by Arch Kennedy

When I first saw the news about the Boulder attack, I was shocked. Then I saw what actually happened—and I was sick to my stomach.

An illegal alien threw Molotov cocktails and used a homemade flamethrower on elderly Jews at a peaceful pro-Israel rally. One of the victims was an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor, set on fire in the United States of America.

I couldn’t believe it. And honestly, I still can’t. But the moment I saw the video and read the confirmed details, I knew I had to speak out—not just as a Christian and an American, but as a human being.

This wasn’t just another violent crime. This was evil, out in the open, aimed at the most vulnerable, and fueled by hatred.

And if we don’t talk about it, who will?

Evil at a Peaceful Rally

According to Breitbart and CBS News Colorado, the attacker was Mohamed Sabry Soliman, a 45-year-old Egyptian national who overstayed his visa. He came here legally, broke our laws by remaining illegally, and still managed to obtain a U.S. work permit. Then he launched an attack using fire.

This wasn’t random. Witnesses say Soliman was shouting “Free Palestine!” as he hurled flaming explosives into a group of peaceful, elderly Americans gathered in support of Israel.

Eight people were injured. Most were between the ages of 52 and 88. Some caught fire. One was an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor—a person who had already lived through one of the greatest evils in human history, only to be firebombed in a U.S. city for daring to stand with Israel again.

And still… silence from the mainstream press. Minimal outrage from the left. Not even a whisper about the fact that this man was in the country illegally.

Why?

The Left’s Hypocrisy on Immigration

Let me be clear: this is not about hating immigrants. This is about lawlessness and a government that refuses to enforce immigration laws that protect its citizens.

Democrats constantly ridicule conservatives and Christians for caring about borders. They label us “loving,” “xenophobic,” or “bigoted.” But here’s the truth they don’t want to face:

We want people to come here legally—people who respect our laws, our values, and our people.

That’s not hate. That’s common sense. That’s love for your country.

But when people come here illegally and commit crimes like this—this is why we have laws. This is why borders matter. Because when we ignore immigration enforcement, it’s not just a policy failure. People get hurt.

The victims in Boulder aren’t a footnote. They are the reason we speak up.

Scripture on Borders and Law

Some people say, “But aren’t Christians supposed to welcome the stranger?” Yes, we are—but not at the expense of justice, safety, or truth.

Romans 13:1–4 makes it clear:

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities… for rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad… If you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain.”

Government exists to restrain evil and protect the innocent. When our government refuses to do that—when it lets in known lawbreakers, issues work permits to visa overstayers, and then shrugs when terrorism happens on our streets—we are no longer upholding biblical justice.

Look at Nehemiah, who rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem. Was he rebuked for that? No. He was praised. Because boundaries matter. Protection matters. Order matters.

And ignoring all of that to virtue signal about “compassion” is not love. It’s foolishness.

Antisemitism Is on the Rise

What makes this even more horrifying is that it targeted Jews. That is not a coincidence. And it is not isolated.

Across the country, antisemitic attacks are increasing. Synagogues are being vandalized. Jewish students are being harassed on campuses. And now we have elderly Jews being lit on fire at rallies.

And still, too many on the left either say nothing or worse—they blame Israel.

Let me say this plainly: there is no justification—ever—for setting people on fire because of their ethnicity, their religion, or their support for Israel.

That’s not protest. That’s not political speech. That is terrorism.

I’m Tired of the Lies

I’m deeply troubled by how quickly this story was brushed aside. It seems like some acts of evil only make headlines when they align with a certain narrative. That shouldn’t be the case. The truth should matter—especially when innocent people are harmed.

Too often, Christians who speak up about issues like immigration or national security are accused of being hateful. But what we’re really doing is standing up for order, justice, and the protection of the vulnerable.

I care about immigrants. I care about compassion. But I also care about justice. I care about the safety of our citizens—especially the elderly—who should never have to fear for their lives at a peaceful rally.

We need to stop turning a blind eye when violence doesn’t fit a political agenda. We need to be honest about what happened in Boulder—and why it matters.

The Truth About Immigration and Evil

What happened in Boulder was evil. And evil thrives when good people stay silent.

Borders are biblical. Laws are moral. And when we abandon both, we invite destruction—not just from within, but from those who have no respect for what America stands for.

Jesus called us to love the stranger. But He also upheld truth. He confronted sin. He didn’t invite wolves into the sheepfold under the banner of tolerance.

We can—and must—do the same.

Let’s Wake Up

If you’re reading this and it angers you, good. You’re supposed to be angry. You’re supposed to be disturbed. That means your conscience is still working.

But don’t stop at outrage. Let that anger drive you to boldness, truth, and action.

  • Speak up when the media won’t
  • Share what others are too afraid to say
  • Demand that immigration laws be enforced
  • Pray for the victims
  • And never be ashamed to stand for biblical justice

I’m not staying silent.
